Modern Mom’s Guilt

Posted by Gareth Brown on Monday, November 7, 2016, In : life

Society has become so sick that it constantly judges... especially mother’s.  If a child is naughty or chooses a wrong unlawful path in life... who does society blame?? The mother!  You always hear things like “Does he not have a mother? Where was the mother? mother this and mother that...

It has become so bad that mothers are constantly feeling bad about everything.  If you’re a working mom, it’s a bad thing ‘cause you should stay home and raise your kids, never mind that you’...

Racism... enough now!

Posted by Gareth Brown on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, In : life

This is such a delicate topic and I don’t really like to get into it, but it is something that has really been bugging me lately.  I am a God fearing woman, who by all means tries to live a life where I respect and love fellow human beings regardless of their race.  So when someone kills or treats another human being badly simply because of the colour of their skin it puzzles me and it got me thinking...  If more people knew God none of this nonsense would exist... how humanly are you to ha...

Are You A Brand?

Posted by Gareth Brown on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, In : life

Of course you are. Personal brands are very important, yet underutilised. Authentic personal brands are more powerful than inauthentic personal brands.  Be true to yourself!

Your authentic qualities will attract the right people and if they repel some, don’t let that bother you, that is just God protecting you from people and opportunities that are not good for you.

Get your mind off trying to be something or someone else, and concentrate on just being you. Become your brand. Authentic bra...

Take control

Posted by Gareth Brown on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, In : life

You would think after all these years in an apartheid free country things would be better.  You would think that we would all have equal opportunities in life and that the colour of your skin wouldn’t be a determining factor.  Lets face it… race still plays a large role at who gets what and who deserves what.

Will this ever change?  I really don’t see it happening soon… and what can we as ordinary South Africans do to bring upon this change?

I’m s...

Love

Posted by Gareth Brown on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, In : life

Is it really possible to fall in love more than once?  Or do we just try and convince ourselves that we are in love again so that we don’t have to deal or face the fact that we will never be with our true love again.  Is it a way to deal with the pain, the longing of being in that person’s arms again by pretending to be in love again… or is it that once you’ve broken up with someone you miss them so much that you mistake that with love…  What is love???  Does it las...

Do it for the right reason!

Posted by Gareth Brown on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, In : life

So a few friends and I had a discussion a couple of days ago about relationships and expectations thereof... It got me thinking...

Many girls stay in relationships for all the wrong reasons and what they ultimately want is marriage... That’s most girls goal in life, and it is something that has been like that for many years, even in these modern times where woman have equal opportunities as their male counterparts, their weakness is still trying to get married at all costs...  Don’t get ...

Foolish Guys in Break-ups

Posted by Gareth Brown on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, In : life

So a friend of mine broke up with her boyfriend recently and can you believe it... In this day and age... the dude took back all the gifts he bought her... I mean everything, even worn and used things... What an idiot!  I’m sorry, but I just could not believe that guys do things like that, needless to say I’m very proud of my friend, she didn't stoop as low as him and left him with the gifts she bought him and didn't demand anything back.

I believe when you buy someone a gift you doing i...

Life and Love...

Posted by Gareth Brown on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, In : life

Life can be hard and challenging... How you overcome these challenges is what matters most.  The worst hardships one can face is disappointing the people you love... and because we are all only human with flaws... this will happen from time to time.  The people who really truly love and care about you will understand and know that we all make mistakes and most important of all is that we are all very different.  We don’t think and do things the same and for this reason we are always going t...

Friendship

Posted by Gareth Brown on Friday, October 3, 2014, In : life
Over the years I've had many friends or acquaintances in my life, and at a certain point or at the point that they were in my life they played a significant role.  While the friendship is happening you never imagine that it would one day end or fade. It's amazing how we outgrow people or how our life journeys go in different directions, all of a sudden.  I'm sure you have at some point in your life asked yourself..."how was I ever friends with that person?" OMG!!

The scariest things I've seen...

Success today

Posted by Gareth Brown on Thursday, July 17, 2014, In : life
I've been thinking about success, and as for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be successful.  As a young child if I was asked what do you want to be when you grow up, my answer was always, "successful" during my beauty pageant days my answer was also always, I want to be successful. So what is success? and am I successful?  For the longest time I used to think being successful is having loads and loads of money and I'm sure that must be what most people think.  The older I got...
